I just did my grocery shopping on Friday night but this was a pantry meal. I've been reading Frugal Follies a lot and she is doing a Clean Out the Cupboards Challenge . I haven't offically joined her but I am thinking I need to. I don't even know what is in my cupboards or freezer. I could be using the stuff I already have instead of spending money at the grocery store. My freezer has gotten so bad it actually scares me...I need to deal with that.

My goal this year is to get dinner on the table every day for my family. No excuses, no take out.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. It will be so rewarding to have eaten in for a whole year. I will be leaving the work force in June to stay home and care for my grandson who has Cystic Fibrosis so I will join you in this challenge. I am doing pretty good with the meal planning now but, with five kids and a full time job, sometimes I just have to give in to a pizza. I like to make my own mixes and there is a really good recipe for homemade Shake and Bake mix at http://busycooks.about.com/od/homemademixes/r/shakebakemix.htm
